about

A burgeoning rampage laying waste to the unnecessarily excruciating filth the nation currently bathes in, a violent reawakening from debilitating personal struggle and upheaval, Sins of the Father is rage incarnate - and it’s gunning for the jugular!

Sons of the Doom State of Maryland, Bloodshot give as much bullshit as they take: none. Their vision, as is their uncompromising battery, is as blunt and forthright as they come, packing more than enough muscle to drive their anger straight into yer face again and again. This should hardly come as a surprise for a band featuring ex-members of legendary Frederick, MD bands War Injun and Earthride!

Recorded in Mystery Ton Studios by maestro Kenny Easton, Sins of the Father comprises ten colossal and meaty detonations with all the precision of a controlled demolition, each one heavier and more menacing than the last. Utilizing the wealth of their musical and life experiences (not to mention the length and breadth of punk and heavy metal), Messrs Jared Winegardner (vox), Tom Stacey (guitar), Joe Ruthvin (bass), and JB Matson (drums) channel their aggressions into a record so full of resentment towards the evil that men do it ought to be shipped in a steel box, for once opened it will wreak havoc!

Obliterating your speakers come September 15 thanks to Nervous Breakdown Records and Half Beast Records, Sins of the Father is a brutalizing experience not for the thin-skinned!

“The latest to grace the stage at The Maryland Doom Fest: BLOODSHOT. In their debut album, ‘Sins of the Father’ (2022), the Free State four-piece dish out a brutal plate made of solid heavy metal, served up with heaping helpings of thrash, sludge, and doom.
The more you listen to the record, the more it grows on you, and there’s some very good reasons for that. The songs are all very accessible with earthy vocals, catchy motifs, relatable lyrics, and atmosphere that ranges from raunchy to invigorating to sinister.“
